Sps question.

Is it true that aquacultured sps fair much better in our tanks then those taken out of the wild?

Yes, I'd say it's true. Aquacultured species over time are better able to adapt to the ever changing conditions found in reef aquaria. Can a wild caught specimen be obtained and kept healthy... sure. But it will take a only a small parameter change (nitrate spike, heater failure, sharp salinity change, ect.) and that coral will show signs of stress while an aquacultured specimen may not.
