Ricordia florida grow throughout the caribbean. "florida" is the species not the local. There are many variations depending on where they are collected. However it is illegal to import into the US from Cuba.
They have talked about it but the embargo is still in place. Canada trades with Cuba though. In any case the rics found around Cuba are just Ricordia florida. Floridas are Atlantic and Yumas are Pacific.

I bet it's not that cool Chort. It is only like what 90 miles from the Keys plus its communist sea life . . . can't be that great I bet it all looks the same and I am sure it all costs the same too.

Actually cuba is protecting much of its reefs, and they watched our mistakes. Thankfully they are avoiding them.
Corals and fish we thought were near extint are flourishing there.
People need to see the effects we are causing to all life in the sea.
You should google it and see for yourself. Heres a link to get started. I doubt that cuba is releasing any corals. This is probably a marketing ploy by calling them cuban. JMO Scientists Work To Protect Cuba's Unspoiled Reefs : NPR
