Try getting a 20 gallon long tank and putting in some dividers works good. And cheap to do

I agree with Jerry, that tank is both cheap and narrow enough to fit under your stand.Home Depot will cut glass baffles for you,I paid $10 for them to cut 6 baffles/glass dividers for my 30gal sump.Get some silicon and your all set for a DIY sump that should cost less than $35.

Hate to be the downer but if you have an all glass stand or any standard 55 gallon stand a 20 long won't fit. It is 12 1/2" wide same as the 55.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

it really depends on the stand, if a 20 long will fit. i have a 55 and a stand from Feeders, the stand inside is only 10". you will have to make some support braces for the front and back of the stand, remove the front and rear supports that come in it, and add 2 supports to the back of the stand (on the ends of the stand, inside), then replace only the front support that came on the stand. here is what my modifications turned out to look like ... pic will follow, i have to reboot.

i hope this helps. you will be replacing the rear support brace with 1 on each end, instead of in the middle.

Nice mods to the stand. I like the sump too. I stand corrected though with a few mods a 20 long will fit in.
