    Default Hornets

lately I've been hearing about these "black hornets", I also hear some ridicule about them saying they arent actually hornets which has got me wondering, what makes a hornet a hornet?
It takes a long long time to build a coral reef. Step by step the reefs survive on partnerships. And the most important partners are you and I.

    Alternating colors on the skirts...

Say what you will about the black ones and a few other red hornets I see. The alternating skirts are OBVIOUS and almost poke you in the eye.

People are just trying to make a quick buck off of the "ring" and they call it a hornet.

careful what you say people will ridicule you about this, but i 100% agree with you adam.

people think its the ring in the center and FREAK out about it when they get one with a ring in the center. its the alternating skirt in color that gives it away and on healthy polyps you can tell vivdly.

example of an obvious allternating skirt

Great thread, I have never seen them and I personally don't look up anything with a name first off. It all started with Purple People Eaters, now it's Hornets. If it will sell, get attention to make someone look or make someone large amounts of money, they will call it anything. Have you seen Gabby's Purple People Eaters on Youtube? You'll see what I mean, go check them out.

Please stop fragging your frags.......you'll eventually do more damage than good. Just let them grow.

I personally like the hornets and have all of them . I went on a mission to find them not because of the name, but because they are just a cool z. I also had a friend give me an utter chaos, also a very sweet paly that used to sell for about 100pp too. I do think the hornet craze went a little too far, but on a brighter note, it has came down considerably in price. One thing I do find shocking is that I still see purple hornets selling for 45 while the red hornets came down to 30. The black hornets I have seen were just photoshopped purple hornets to make them appear black.....jmo.

Speaking of hornets, I need to frag some out of my 60g for my cube
