Who has them, how long have you had them, how many times have you tryed them? Have you ever fragged them and then they dwindled away? Ive fragged, gave them away, watched them melt, tryed them many times.

I got a frag from a friend over a week ago. 4 polyps. Placed em mid level and they looked terrible. Moved them to the sand and they are all open and look great. No melting no problems.

They are a bit fussy. At my peak I had over a 100 polyps. But there were times where they would receed. I always felt I was successful because I had enough to weather the recessions.

I got pinched for space a couple years ago and decided to cash out of the ppes. I probably should have kept at least one rock of them. I only ended up keeping a few polyps where they had grown off the rocks and onto my main rockwork. Now I only have one single polyp.

Here is one of the three rocks I had a few years ago.

People would kill for a colony like that.

I just got my first frag of PPEs after years of reefing. So far so good but it has only been a week or so. I have wanted some forever but never got em until now.

I've tried them several times, they will last for up to a couple months only to eventually melt away. It's very frustrating because it is my favorite....I will try again when the new tank settles in a little more....Nice picture Jim, one of the polyps that really look good in mass.

Got ours a year or two ago. They didn't do much for awhile. Just this last 6 months or so they have been growing very well.

the only fussy coral i have i swear! this thing was at 1 polyp, went to looking like it was going to bud out 3-4 more, the whole thing closed up and it looked like chewed gum on a frag plug, it close for almost 2 month and now this past 2 weeks one of the polyps (in a different spot) fully opened up now and is at full polyp size and taking mysis. so i started with 1 poylp in the beginning of august and it is now mid december and i am still at 1 polyp lol.
