I use coral revive by two little fishies. Costs half as much as coral rx and works just as well.

I've been using Revive for a while now, but am giving the Coral RX a whirl recently. So far I really like it. They smell exactly the same, like Pine Sole. But the Rx as another additive that seems to treat the growth of some algeas.

Coral rx sounds great. Ive also heard lotts of good on the coral revive.
When it comes to gram positive fungus/bacterias, I have had great results with the maracyn, so Figured I would test it as a dip. So far, I have only tested on zoa polyps, as they can close up, and protect themselves from a harsh/harmful dip. Not sure how it will work on other corals.
Some specifics on setting up the dip-
I took a white butter bowl (I call it my dipping bowl) and filled it with tank water. I then sprinkled just enough maracyn to slightly tint the water yellow. I disturbed the polyps to get them to close up. I dropped the frag in the water, and let it sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, I gave the polyps a good swooshing around, to break loose anything still hanging on. I then rinsed in a clean bowl of tank water again, before returning to the tank. Polyps opened up right away, and none of the 6 or so different frgs had any issues after the dip.
Wish I could continue on with this little experiment- but the slime is long gone...and cnt say I would like it to come back- even though it would have to in order for me to continue testing thi dip out.
I am fairly confidant that the initial dip would have wiped out the slime though. I found the cause of the slime, and realized why the slime would dissapear, but return again. I was adding to much MB7, and was feeding the slime. I had been dosing the full dose of MB& when in reality, I should have been dosing maintainance doses. The dips either wiped it out, or put a dent in it, just for me to feed it and make it grow again. Since I backed off the MB&, the slime has went away.
If anyone else runs across a cyno outbreak, causing their zoas to close up, please feel free to give this a try, and add your results to this thread! Seems I am kind of stuck at the moment...
Anyone lives reasonable close, I will stop out and do it myself, if you like. Would like to see this testing of info continue!
