I did vitamin C in 2009 , basically its buffered vitamin C , a carbon source. You need to start very slowly and then ramp up as required. There is a calculation based on water volume for your dose.
For me it resulted in cyno with no significant improvement. Also it made my skimmer go crazy when I put it in. I decided against it , not worth the effort. How some people have had good success with it. On RC look for the name pufferpunk, she has the detailed instructions on it.
Anyone tried dosing vitamin C? What's the idea behind it? Did it help?
basically just a carbon source..there is a lengthly thread over on reef central about it..and i mean several pages..they claim it gives your polyps more pop..but not sure on that one..but i have never tried it..always wanted too though..just cant find any buffered vit c anywhere around..
