Still looking for thoughts on post #13, as well as thoughts on this question;
If one is running t5 rather than PCs or MH with daylights and actinics. Is running some of the blues with the daylights bulbs ok for the daylight portion of the acclimation process? I ask, because I run two blues as morning evening and a combo of blues and 20,000K daylights as my full sun. Generally if acclimating I shut off or reduce the daytime portion of the light, but blues are part of that, should I be seeking to eliminate the blue all together during the daylight portion of the acclimation process?

Well I would think it depends on the light it most recently came from to determine the amount of light acclimation and time they need.
Research the specimen and find out what it's most recent lighting conditions are.
Let's say the zoa/paly was shipped and has been in darkness for 24/48 hours, it would be better to start that coral off on the bottom of the tank with less lighting.
Now if the zoa/paly has been sitting at a lfs for weeks fully open, I would think its probly safe to say you could replicate the stores lighting immediately on the zoa/paly.
That being said a general safe practice is to start all corals on the bottom and move them up slowly.

I am sure someone has some more info to add.
