You will get a diatom bloom due to the silica in the sand but other than that I do not see a problem.
Does water always taste like salt and poo????
I used to work for southdown but they were bought out by cemex and i lost my job i emailed their sales dept to see if they will be repackageing the sand under the cemex name well have to see what happens.
I heard that they where not going to but please let us know what you find out!

alright just a recap no more southdown sand will be produced but it might be relabeled by another company that actually supplied the sand to southdown...but another conumdrium...I have high desert sand from homedepot will that be a good alturnative to southdown sand?
did you try the vinegar fizz test?
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
what is that???
take a little pile of sand and add a few drops of vinegar to it, if it fizzes it's generally good to go.... meaning some sort of aragonite based sand. If it's slicate based it won't fizz.
