Can you post pictures of it? Maybe it is a carpet anemone, maybe it is a bubble tip anemone... can't diagnose the situation when we don't know what the creature is.

Whenever you have to add salt to your system, it is best to remove a gallon of water and replace it with a new gallon of saltwater. You might want to read this over:

Salt is caustic, and adding it directly as a powder into your tank will sting anything it touches before it can dissolve. Mixing it up in water until it is completely dissolved is the safest method.
