    Default Surface water movement

I am getting ready to head out, and wanted to swing by the hardware store to pick up some things for my overflow. I wanted to pick up some small tubing and put some holes in it to put across the top of the tank to create more water movement on the surface of the tank with a cut-off valve for feeding times. I was curious if it helps/harms/no effect on the tank.

It is definitely a good thing... gas exchange, evaporation, etc.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying
