    Default 92 gallon water changes

    hello,

i just got a 92 gallon tank from a friend with all the water, live rock and fish.

how often should I be doing water changes? and what exactly is entailed in doing a water change?

Is galcier water in 5 gallon containers the correct water to be doing for water changes? and at that point do i simply take out 5 gallons of water and mix salt in with the new 5 gallon and place in the tank?

I am very very new to saltwater tanks and really have no idea how to anything at this point, ive been doing a bit of reading but havent touched the tank yet.

I would recommend doing a 20 percent water change once a month at least every 2 weeks would be better, I dont know what glacier water is but if its a RODI filtered water then yes that is what you want. just take your water and mix it with salt and get the specific gravity matched and temperature matched and switch it out!!!

    good luck

Ohhhhhhh man dont buy pre mixed seawater its a rip off ... I use instant ocean salt... But in a well established tank you shouldnt really require a water change too often but do monitor your levels I have a 20 gal and havent done a water change in almost two months and my levels are perfect

galcier water is the water dispenser things that fill up the 5 gallon containers outside the supermarket. its drinking water for people.

if that isnt right, there is a marine place that gives out free ocean water for use in saltwater tanks.
