    Default Cloudy tank

OK, I come home this weekend to find my tank cloudy. The wife noticed it about Wednesday. Parameters are:
    ph-8.0
    ammonia-0
    nitrite-0
nitrate- between 10 and 20 (colors)

All that is different is last weekend I put a ball of cheatomorph (about3-4 inch ball) in the tank to try and lower my nitrates from 20. Everyone seems happy, Candy cane is feeding and full, mushrooms are big as usual, nitrates may have gone down (colors), tanks is just smokey looking. Last night I cleaned all power heads and mag3 on skimmer with fresh water since I had no vinager. Wife cleaned skimmer cup on wednesday.

Oh, and an Astrea did die but the wife pulled it out on tuesday. No smell she said. I did leave the shell in the tank for the crabs but the snail was already out of it.

    Any ideas?

It's a common part of cycling... keep testing and do not do anything except be patient.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying
