    Default film and brissle worms

hey i have got some bristle worms in my tank and my tang went after it and got stung...the tang i found dead in about two hours......now that he died there has been this weird white film on all of my fish. yesterday my gobby went after the bristle worm and ate it....i watched him eat it...i was thinking yea!!! problem solved well last night my gobby died. Also my dragonnet seems too be looking thinner.....i found him dead this morning in my tank.....i pulled him out and he has a bristle coming out of the mouth what can i buy to eat up these bristle worms....and do you know what this odd white film might be?

I've got bristle worms all over my tanks and never have had a problem with them and fish. I'm thinking that you've got a parasite or something in your tank or some other problem that is causing the white film on the fish.

Hopefully someone with more info will chime in here.

I dont think its bristle worms they are quite harmless. as for the while film you may have ich in the tank. bristle worms are beneficial scavengers and will not knowingly attack prey, they hunt strictly by smell.

i was under the impression that bristle worms though a good scavenger they were not that good for some tank inhabitants...I used to take them out when i would find them....and to answer your question try an arrow crab or i beleive a six line wrasse are the natural way to remove them.. but arrows sometimes eat them and sometimes don't

I believe arrow crab will also eat hermits and snails. Just an FYI.

Getting sligtly off topic a bit, but yes, we've seen the behavior of an arrow crab 'going hermit munching', kind of funny at first till you add up the cost of his dinner.

BRO.. I can solve your parasite problem they have these things that are like little traps and they come with food that the bristle worms like and then they go into the trap and then those annoying lil MO FO are caught. I m lookin for the website but i cant find it but umm just ask at your lfs and ask em if they got bristle worm traps.
