This is what I use. I run a two stage BRS with carbon in one and SeaChem PhosGuard in the other. I buy the 1 litre jar from Preuss for $23.00 and I divide it into thirds. I change the carbon and PhosGuard every three weeks, so it lasts a good couple months. It's good for idiots. Tumbles better than the Ferric Oxide stuff, turns brown when exhausted, doesn't leach crap back into the system when full. I used the bulk Ferric Oxide stuff and used the recommended dosage from BRS and wasn't pleased with the results. Didn't "peculate", Corals were not happy and lost a few animals. I switched to the SeaChem and it works well for me, plus locally available.

Phosgard for me too boys. I was told to switch because of a clam problem I was having and have never looked back
