HELP QUICKLY

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#ok so i checked my ph, nitrates, phosphates, alkinity, and calicum, and salinity all cheak fine but my manderin dragon net is acting strange. He wont say at the bottem where he always is. He is alive but for some reason he is flotting at the top of the tank....still breathing...i tried to move him to the bottem with a net but he floated right back up to the top...whats wrong with him???what should i do....i dont know if he is going to make it through the night.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

how long have you had him and how old is the tank he is in. does he look skinny. most of the time a mandarin will die of starvation.

no the tank is about 10 months old, i have had him for about a month, he does not look skinny. i just dont understand why he would be at the top of the tank

I am not sure either about that. The only thing I would say is he is not getting enough to eat. now is he swimming at the top of the tank or just kind of floating???

well i mean he moving his fins as if he were hovering and i tried moving him down gently with a net and i moved him to the bottom and he slowly went back up to the top...but he gave me no resistance when i went in with the net.. he is swimming agains the currents...so it is not like he is being whirrled around#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I would just keep an eye on him. hey may just have wanted a change of scenery. I am not 100% sure why is at the top of the tank. especially if you parameters all check out fine. Just keep an eye on him

You mite try moving some pods from your sump and see if he takes a interest

#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#well im in marine bio and ive studied that and learned that when a fish does that there is too much O2 in their air blatter so therefore he floats. That is the scientific reason not quite sure it is happening tho.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

I have a Mandarin as well, about 4 months after we got her, she started doing that as well, even took a ride throug our old overflow system, ending in the fuge (this is no longer possible) but ever since, she does this like about once a month, although I have to admit, she hasn't doesn't this month yet!#ed_op#BR#ed_cl##ed_op#BR#ed_cl#Brine Shrimp, if it is true that there is too much O2 in their bladder, then how can this be corrected?#ed_op#BR#ed_cl##ed_op#BR#ed_cl#Brianna
