but it turn to goop?i almost tossed one(in the beginning)chances are if it didnt fall apart when you removed it it wasnt dead.as for letting your tank cycle that may be a good idea anenomes are far to sensetive to be housed ina newly set up tank they cannot withstand the swings in nitrate or ammonia levels.as for housing for your clowns they will be fine without an anenome they do not require each other to live.as for housing if your hoping they will pair off they my still do this in a cave you can also add a small ceramic(clay) pot i have seen many ppl use this method for breeders
