a friend gave me one. its a little noisy on start up when the prop slides in and out of the motor, but it stays on all the time in my tank so ive never complained. if i had a wave maker it probally would drive me nuts. as far as which model i have i dont know, its got a blue prop. and gph i dont know either, but it moves almost as much water as my aquaclear 70 powerhead. i have it mounted up close to the water level and never have i noticd it trying to suck air or even swrill the water around it. i would like to have the other color props to see the diffrence between em though.

I have a hydor koralia 4 and I love it. It doesn't shoot water straight out the front but more radiates it out, kinda like a fan. It moves a lot of water, and my fish (lawnmower blenny) will sit right on it and it doesn't get stuck to it or anything. It's also very directional, but does stick out somewhat which can kinda interfere with the rock work. It uses a magnet and suction to hold to the wall, which is nice as my other powerheads are always falling. It can not be used with a wave maker, according to hydor if used with a waver maker that starts and then stops the motor it will burn it up quickly. They did say they are in the process of designing a wave maker that will ramp the power up and down to make the wave process, but not cut power to the motor. They said it would be out soon, but no word on when.

All in all I love mine and am thinking of replacing my closed loop with 3-4 of these and their wave maker when it comes out as I am having a heck of a time with bubbles in my CL.

I bought one a few months ago, but I still haven't taken it out of the box. :o

I wish I could remember where, but I read about someone using these PHs on a wavemaker. If I find it, I'll post a link...
