Default LR from Marine depot live?

Does anybody have any experience with LR from marinedepot live? They have 44lbs of premium fiji rock for $159 shipped. Sounds like a great price I just wonder about the quality of rock. I want to get some but wanted to see if anybody would recommend their rock. Thanks!

i've never ordered rock from marine depot but i have ordered alot of other things and they have so far been top quality. 159.00 is a good price shipped, but also check out www.liveaquaria.com they have sales sometimes on their fiji rock that gets pretty good and the rock is good quality too, its where mine and lots of others have came from.

I went ahead an ordered a 45lbs box from them to get the tank started. I called them and the lady was very nice and informative and suggested I just get one box to cycle the tank and get everything set up. I got it next day aired for $161......can't wait to see what I got! (What kind of idiot pays $161 for a box of rocks! )

Yes, they do have it for $99 (45lbs) but then shipping is $1.19/lb which brings it up to $152.55 for 2nd day shipped. If you want next day it is $1.49/lb which would be $166.05 shipped. I got it for $161 shipped next day air. It's all about the same......With things being equal I went with Marine Depot because they use UPS and I prefer that.

thats cool. i'll probably be ordering that nano box of rock from live aquaria in a few days. 16 lbs of mixed rock works out to 93.00 shipped.

    Default Curing Live rock

Does it really take 3 wks to cure live rock when bought from LiveAquaria? Has anybody bought any of that Lalo Live rock? Is it nice?

Might want to take a look at YourReef.com, they're running a special on Fiji LR for $2.99/lb (plus shipping of course). Haven't ordered LR from them yet, but as soon as I get the 'wall tank' up we're going to oder a bunch and give it a whirl... if it's 1/2 as good as the coral we've gotten we'll be in great shape
