Default still working on tank upgrade

Here are the latest plans. I keep changing them. At this rate I will never get the tank ordered.

I want to get into more SPS but I don't want to give up my DSB and the critters that love it. (Jawfish) What does everyone with high flow do to stop the high flow from creating a sandstorm? I want to have good circulation at all levels of the tank.

Looks like a good plan Angie... are you going to use some sort of barrier to contain the sand?

we're running a pair of SEIO1500's for circulation, once the sand is establsihed it stays put pretty well.

Yes I'm going to use a barrier (that's the red line in the diagram). If I go with a 6 in. sand bed in the front of the tank the barrier will have to be slightly higher than 6 inches.

I refuse to go BB, but I may keep the entire thing a DSB. I will have to do a test run in another tank to see if the sand barrier idea works.
