Default Uh, this is one of those.

Well I have a problem that hopefully someone can give me a remedy to.

Two nights ago I was looking in the tank and the small clam that I told everyone about in my build thread disappeared. I figured that something happened to it like someone ate it, or it decided it didn't like to be where it was. Wierd huh. I thought it was very secure where it was, reason being it was in a hole secure. Wrong.

So today I was looking around in the tank and noticed something. I have an Astrea snail crawling around with an attachment. The clam is attached to the snail's foot.

So the question is, how the heck do I get it to let go to be able to put it somewhere where it will grow up?

    Any ideas would be great.

And if you absolutely need pics I have to wait until the snail moves to an area where I can get a picture. It's up around the top of the tank behind the return jets. May be a while, remember it's a snail.

I would just grab the strea snail and gently pull the clam off of the foot and place the little guy somewhere in your LR. he will reattach to the LR and should be fine.

Do you think he'll let go?

I am sure he will. if you gently pull on him he should let go. the snail will be allright and so will the clam. should not be a problem.
