I went to pick up my feather dusters, and I ended up bringing home a LTA. He seemed very happy almost immediately after I put him in the tank (not in a ****ed-off balled-up messlike he was when they bagged him at the store). He settled right down into the rock where I placed him and spread right out (he's actually bigger than I thought he was). Then the twoshrimp found him... started clipping at his tentacles. Three of them are shrivled up and dead-looking. I freaked out, got the net to shoo the shrimpaway, and fed them in an attempt to make them forget about my poor nemmy.

Have any of you seen this behavior before? I'm not all that fond of the cleaner shrimp, but I love my peppermint shrimp. However, they're both out of here if they mess with this nem...

Any suggestions are most welcome!!!

Update:
Here are pictures... the first is just after I put him in and he settled into the rock, and the second is after the shrimp attack. I put a star around one of the injured tentacles... this one is just shriveled in the middle, while the other two (not visible in the pic) are shriveled from the injury all the way to the tip.

I was so happy about my dusters and nemmy... I got the camera out just moments after I placed them in the tank. I was tickled that the nem opened right up, as if he was already making himself at home... and then WHAM!

Well, the shrimp seem to be leaving him alone for now. I wonder ifme feeding themorthreatening them with the net had anything to do with it?Perhaps they just had to check out their new tank-mate? Somebody please tell me that I'm over-reacting...
