I have read a few books that recommend using PVC pipe to help out. You
can build a rectangle that reaches about half way to the top of your
tank. Lean some piece up against the base to hide the pipes, hid the
bottom cross bar in the sand, then place pieces on top of the rectangle
and stack from there. It will give you a lot of heighth. Otherwise you
just need to amp up your rock supply and buy more. #ed_op#br#ed_cl#

you are the one that is painting the picture in your tank!!!! Dirt gave a good idea and use the pvc as risers, but other than that you just have to get in there and get wet. you wont get it right the first time but eventually you will get it. and we expect pics when you do get it the way you like it

Greg made a good point....it takes forever to get it right. I have
redone mine like 5 times, and I am still not sure if I am totally
happy. Just keep messin' with it 'till you like it. But, PVC risers
will make a little rock, look like a lot of rock.

Another option for you to try is to grab some thin 1/4" or so acrtlic rod (any local plastic shop will have it) and a concrete drill bit the same size.... drill holes into each rock where you want them to stay and use the acrylic rod to hold them in place... If you want to change it later the holes will blend back in later or fill with life.

I picked up a couple 6' lengths for a few bucks a pop. We just haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

Make sure everything is in there solid though. You don't want to have a cave in a kill somthing... my poor hermit crabs. Good luck in getting it the way you want it!

like greg has said tommorow you may look at it and say this isn't what i like and have to change it myself i have done the pvc thing and tried egg crate difusers from overhead lighting. and went back to the stack more rock more solidly. Don't be afraid to change it up every now and then.
