Increased salinity = increased photosynthesis?

My pump pulled too much fresh water in one day so the salinity dropped to ~1.020 (nothing was hurt)and I noticed the algae was not releasing oxygen bubbles like it usually did. As I increased the salinity back up to ~1.022, the bubbles came back. #ed_op#o:p#ed_cl##ed_op#/o:p#ed_cl##ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"#ed_cl##ed_op#o:p#ed_cl##ed_op#/o:p#ed_cl##ed_op#/P#ed_cl##ed_op#P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"#ed_cl#Now I am keeping the tank at ~1.024 and am seeing even more oxygen bubbles rising off the algae.
