Unhappy not so smart snail and mean clown

Ok heres the deal i have two clarkii clowns and a snail my clowns are relatively peaceful to everything as far as i can see they don't attack the hermit crabs i have but every morning i wake up to see my snail flat on it's back near the clowns "bed" (i don't have an anemone so they sleep in the back right hand corner) is there a way to stop the clown(s) from attacking my snail or is flipping my snail over and putting him on the glass just something i just have to every morning?

What kind of snail is it? Some are unable to flip back over and unfortunately die or are eaten by crabs. Cerith snails can right themselves and so can conches.

You must have a clumsy snail I truly doubt that the fish are pestering it.

Just FYI, I have cerith snails everywhere (almost literally), and when they get too close to the clown's "bed", he actually bites them off the glass and spits them out into the sand lol!

The other night, sitting alone reading in my chair next to the tank, I hear this tapping ... tap tap tap ...... then silence... mmmmmmm? never heard that before. 10 min or so later... tap tap tap... WTF it's midnight.. nobody is up but me.... tap..tap..tap... its comming from the tank? I know we don't have any mantis or pistol shrimp.. what the heck.... taptaptaptap... The 4 srtipe damnsel was attacking the snail on the glass! You see that particular area was "home" and where the stupid things lay thier eggs 2x a month!! And that little fish took every ounce of territorial aggression and then some for about 40 min to get that evil snail off the glass and away from his house! I've seen them pick snails up and move them and I've watched the convicts dig and the damsel push it back. Heck I've been chased & bit while SCUBA diving... But never have I seen such determination! I was rolling! He would grab the top of the shell and shake like a dog, or better yet a big bass that's been hooked! It was in the corner so the shell would tap tap tap on the glass! :D
Soo my point.. don't worry.. the clowns just haven't got the boundry lines srtaightend out with the snail union workers yet... a fence will go up soon!! lol
BTW.. that's the same union that says snails are NEVER EVER to clean the front glass. Think about that.. you put a hundred snails in the tank.. how many are on the front glass RIGHT NOW?? Union Rule!

Oh and he did it.. silly fish!

well he cant flip himself over and as far as clumsy goes he has never ever fallen as long as he has been in my tank,i have never seen them do it but he is always about 4in away from the glass and 1in from the clowns bed and always always on his back, also he cleans the front better than the back so i dont know maybe he didnt get the memo or the clowns got tired of him coming back for more and scrambled his brain
