Well, someone mentioned the inactivity lately from many member, so I thought I would take a few minutes and post an update.
It looks like in the next few months we will be adding onto the house. We will be adding a formal dinning room, which the wife has expressed an intrest in replacing the 30 gallon, with something larger. We are discussing something in the 80 to 90 gallon range.
Some things we have decided/learned from the 30G the past few years:
- The new setup will have a full sump setup.
- Sand, not crushed shell
- Have the tank Drilled
- Let there be LIGHT (I'm sure there will be questions Halides vs PC vs T5)
- Closed Loop for additional flow, without powerheads in the tank
Can anyone offer any advice on main tank, sump sizes that will allow a readily avaliable tank to be used for the sump (55G perhaps)
