    Default My little frag farm

Well I just wanted to share with you guys the progress this little adventure/obsession has taken, I am about half way through the process. I hope to have this whole thing done and running full steam by June 1st. By then if all goes well I should have approx 6 grow tubs going full steam. Right now I am at 2 tubs, the top tank is lit by a 10k 250w MH with 2 super actinic VHO's and the next one down is lit by a 250 w 14K MH with 2 65W 7100k's. I am in the process of converting the top 20 gallon glass into a grow tub. I am using rubbermaid tubs, they are 48 wide 19 wide and 7 deep. this works great shallow so good penetration and a lot of surface for placing frags. and 10 bucks a pop you cant beat it. they both share a 30 gallon sump with an ASM G2 skimmer. the return pump is a 1100 gph pump, this gtives me really good flow in the tub.

the pics are the most recent and descend from there. I will convert the top glass tank into a tub in the next day or 2 and then I will manage the cords and get it cleaned up. I will place all the balasts on the top shelf and I have a fan to keep them cool.

And then I will start on the wall opposite of this one and set up 2 more shelving units that will house another 2 grow tubs each with sump.

but so far its been fun. cant wait to see how this turns out!!!

Wow 250w for the tubs? Now that's some serious growing power. Looking good Greg!
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
