securing frags

Is there a way too secure frags to live rock that isn't permanent. I've heard of using super glue, but that seems like it would be impossible to move them if they don't like the area you put them.

You could always attach them to a peice of rubble and then that could be moved around.

superglue will actually snap off I have done it before when attaching sps corals.

maybe I will try it on one of the smaller ones because they are already fastened too sall rocks, I guess the worse case would be it breaks off the small rock and I would be back at square one. Thanks

hence why i personall use all sizes of reef plugs, not only are they calcium fortified but you can stickem in holes anywhere on the live rocks and they quickly become covered with coralline and blend in nicely

I've heard of securing corals with rubber bands and that it worked well for temporary attachment.... can someone confirm this?

That is usually used for soft corals as they attach quicker. If I remember corectly supelrglue and a mixable epoxy are generally used for stonies.

I use locktite superglue gel on mushrooms and rics and works just fine. just make sure that the bottom of the coral and the LR is dry and they stick just peacy. I have even used superglue with xenia

I've heard of some people using super glue or epoxy to "glue" the stonie frags to ridgid air tubing or vinyl bolts. That way you can stick them in holes and crevices in the LR and move them to another spot later. I think there is a video of this on reefvideos.com.

some people drill holes into the rock/coral and use acrylic rods to hold their stuff up in place.
