Well I tested my water levels last night and they are getting closer to being ready for my cleanup crew to be added.
However, when I woke up this morning and looked into my tank I found a small snail making his/her way across my glass cleaning it up.
That put a big smile on my face, apparently he was in some of the LR I put into my tank and he is already making himself at home in there. He is only about the size of a pencil eraser, but to see life in the tank lets me know I am on the right track.
I hope to add maybe 1/2 more rocks depending what is at the PS this evening. I may get 1 to put in my ref. Maybe I will get lucky again and pick up another addition in the rocks.
Good luck. I also suggest looking closly in the rock tank sometimes coral is thrown away in there and you can save it. I have a green bubble that I saved and is just starting to look good again. Its been 7 months but I think the bubble will live!
The PS I go to has their tanks setup for "weak corals", frags, and frags with corals attached. I might see what I can find. I am still new so I tend to overlook some things.
Congrats sticky! I know the feeling. I am enjoying the first "natural relationship" between my new goby and my pistol shrimp. I just love sitting there watching those two help each other out. I am new to this too, and just getting to enjoy my first tastes of success just like you. TONS OF FUN!
