    Default Some Bad Luck...

I'm beginning to think someone is trying to tell me I shouldn't have set up another tank. My new ER Skimmer broke and had to be sent back and I haven't even used it yet. Today I made the 120 mile round trip to the LFS and picked up my LR. I put the LR in and then went about to add the water. The first thing I did was to dump some water into the back of my overflow box which I had purchased a few weeks ago from the same LFS. I wanted to see if I had any leaks in my plumbing. Next thing I see is water coming out the bottom of the overflow box all over the back of the tank and on to the floor. The bottom back seem apparently didn't get a very good gluing and leaks like crazy. So now I can't test my sump and have to make another long trip back to the LFS and exchange it for another one. I filled the tank up with water and have 2 powerheads for circulation till I can get my sump up and running. I also have a power head running in my refugium as I added the LS and LR to that also.
I did have something good happen as my Aquactinics light fixture came in.I got the 48" with 2 175W XM 10K 's with 1 T5 HO Pure Actinic and 1 T5 HO Blue Plus. I also opted for the IceCap variable speed fans.It just sits right on the tank with no heat issue's.I'd take a pic but the waters pretty cloudy.

Having to drive that distance to replace the overflow really sucks rocks, I'd stick a powerhead down the refuge to keep the water moving a bit.

Look on the bright side (you did get your lighting so the pun fits), maybe you are just getting lucky and having the bad luck up front and you won't have any later when you get ready to start adding critters.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
