brown jelly

i have brown jelly former round my plate coral and i followed the procedure for removing/treating it but it still seems to be attacking the coral can someone explain what fresh water dip means i made a fresh water dip and placed the coral into it after removing the brown jelly when i got up this morning the coral was covered in it again.
what does it actually mean with fresh water dip should i put salt in the water or just dip the coral in R.O water without the salt and what sort of temp should the dip be at all the reference books i have read all say fresh water but not exactly what the parameters should be?...

the brown jelly may be part of the symboitic algea inside of its cells that it is releaseing to adapt to light.

a pictures would be helpful then maybe someone else will have an idea.
