This is a rarely imported Pectinia Maxima. I have had it in my possession for at least 6 months. There is a little recession showing but that is old and happened before I acquired the coral. It has been rock solid since I got it. The eyes are HUGE compared to any other chalice coral.
In light of the horrible circumstances brought on by Super Storm Sandy I have been considering options that might help those who are truly in need. While it is tragic that many reef keepers have lost their tanks due to the storm there are many people who have lost much, much, more. While I commend others for donating coral The Blue Glow would like to contribute to those with the most serious needs. Many people are without basic needs such as food, water, shelter, and medicine. For the month of November The Blue Glow will write a check to the Red Cross in the amount of $100 for every $300 in coral sales. We will also write a check for $10 with every acrylic frag rack sold. This is a great opportunity to get some nice coral or an acrylic frag rack while helping others in their time of extreme need. We would also like to encourage others including our fellow vendors to contribute by giving blood or donating what you can afford.
