Wow! Your colonies must be absolutely MASSIVE!!! This coral goes by quite a few different names. Its really a beautiful coral. A reefing buddy of mine was able to get blue to show in extremely bright light. I haven't been able to do it yet, but I may have to experiment with a few well placed corals.

    Warmest Regards,
    James

Yup. That is the same coral that has been named recently. You can see the blue starting in the base of my first pic. If I were to move it lower (or under LEDs), the blue would become deeper. Its all the same coral.

On a side note... I wonder how wayne is doing. He sold me my first SPS and Paly corals WAY back in the day. Must've been 2003 or 2004. I remember he had the 180 in the middle of his basement. He had one of the first rose anenomes I have ever seen.

I'm glad he is still reefing. I first learned to appreciate MH bulbs when I seen his tank back in the day.

Grows very well, when i feed often!

For comparison sake, here is a pic of a Wayne's Rainbow frag (L) cut about same time I recvd Jakem's Rainbow(R) back during Reef Solutions swap. Both have been within 2" of each other on same level w/ 2 AIs running aproximately 275 (LED) PAR (33white 85 Blue 85 Royal) (pic taken under 100wht 100blue 100 royal) I cannot see a resemblance personally.

Imagine that? Well it's not my feeding. I'm pretty sure I out feed more than most in here. I moved it today, we will see. It was in a spot that was getting a ton of light but not a great amount if flow. Now it is in a high flow area with slightly less light.
