    Additional Information & Description

I purchased this quite a while back and I don't know that I ever asked the name. This grows very similar to a monitpora confusa, but it has purple polyps rather than your typical brown. I think this is a Montipora Confusa, but it's one of the prettiest color varieties that I have seen.

The coral is very easy to grow. I have placed the coral at the top of the tank where it gets a ton of light and flow. The monti grows very slowly for a monti, but I would say it's a moderate grower over all. I have never seen it fight with another coral and doesn't seem to mind being constantly touched by Grandis polyps. Overall this seems to be very hardy and easy going.

I have never fragged this coral and just can't bring myself to do so. I think it is so beautiful in a large colony that I don't know that I will ever purposely frag this coral
