Wow very interesting and how unique. What lighting do you have yours under? Does the lack of depth in a tank affect them in any way? Where do you have yours placed?
Mine is a combination SPS and NPS tank. The lighting is 2 400 watt 20k MH with LED lights for the evening and morning. I only run the MHs for 5 hours since most of the NPS corals don't care if there is light or not. My SPS however...care. The tank depth is really not an issue as they are sand dwellers, but my tank is 32 inches deep so I have plenty of depth. I put them in the sand but they move where they are happiest.
