Default Chalice, what makes it a "watermellon"?

So I see chalices for sale all the time and I can't for the life of me tell why some are called "watermellon" chalice. IME it's nothing to do with the coloration, as they come in the same colors as others. Is it something to do with the shapes, distance apart of the eyes or something?

help me understand wtf is so special about these chalices.

Watermelon chalices usually have a pink, light purple, or red body with a green rim

Like the fruit of a watermelon and the rind, like said above

Then alien eye chalices are usually dark purple, blue,or grayish with a green rim

hm, so I guess ive seen a few labeled as watermellon that either aren't growing well enough to show the colored rim, or that they really aren't what they say they are..

    damn name game.
