    Default Whats eating my zoas???

I recently lost a patch of about 30 dragon eye zoas. They has growing and spreading quite happily for over a year. About a month ago I noticed there seemed to be fewer. Over about 2 weeks they all disappeared. I noticed that some of polyps had small white spots. I chalked this up to unknown causes and didn't freak out to bad. I have heard of random die offs. But tonight I noticed that another patch of my zoas look like they are thinning and have small white spots. The ones with spots are all closed up. Now I am concerned. None of the large inhabitants should be picking on the zoas. I am thinking some sort of pesky hitchhiker or some sort of disease. I am kind of ruling out chemical warfare since the effects are very isolated. Any ideas on what could eating my zoas?

Nope. Everything has been right on target. Both patches were going very well. Nothing really has changed. The second patches was new in October and has doubled in size from 12 to around 30. I am going to try the fresh water dip as Jerry suggested and see what falls off.

How long do you recommend I leave the zoas in the fresh water dip?

I would get the temp the same as the tank and swoosh them for at least 30 seconds. they will be fine. I do this to all of my zoos when I get them
