well Tuesday evening I changed from 120Watts of NO fluorescent (about 8 month old bulbs now) to a brand new 250Watt 6500K MH.........
over the past two days I have noticed that some pollups open up, others open some of the time, and others don't open at all.......are they ****ed off by the sudden light increase?
I know people have issues with corals when they change out bulbs that their corals can get shocked and I'm wondering if that is what is happening to my stuff.......should I cut back to time (right now it is on from 8:30AM to 9:30PM)?
as a side note, today I noticed oxygen bubbles being released off the algae on the rocks (something I have not seen in months......guess the bulbs really were getting old)....
