FWIW, the only reason I recommend the the use of resistors for voltage limiters is for most folks they just need a simple way to fire 4-6 LEDs reliably and easily enough to whip together in an hour or so without any real electronics knowledge. AND not have to pay commercial companies big bucks for a silly LED.
Dave I will make up a new drawing, I can look for my software while I am looking for the other parts for the radio, LOL. Moved not to long ago and I still have some of my things in boxes. The XYL lets me know about weekly that she wants the boxes emptied so when she heard about the radio thing that just gave her more fuel for her fire, LOL, she is a great woman and she never really gets that upset with me, at least no frying pan yet.

LOL, I moved to WI from OK over 8 years ago and STILL have boxes that haven't been opened yet from the move.... I know that's where a lot of my radio gear is... fortunately for me so far, I can duck faster than the skillet can be swung.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.

So I am not the only one that is slow to empty boxes, LOL. I emailed you directly hope you don't mind. I didn't want to put the hand drawn schematic on the post knowing that I would really get individuals confused with just symbols.
