Barnacle Blennys can be a lot of fun to have a group of. They are very active and will shoot out to grab food and then back to their hole in amazing speed. For this reason they must be kept in a tank with a top in order to stop them from accidentally jumping.
They are very social and will often work out a pecking order with other blennys near them. They are the most entertaining when kept in groups together.
The female of this particular type of blenny has a different coloration, consisting of more white than brown, as can be seen below:
