MH ?
1. Should a double 175watt mh light look brighter than a 260 pc fixture?
2. When MH lights get old are they not as bright?

1. Yes, The output of a MH will out shine PC watt for watt.
2. The output goes down and there is typcially a color shift as well.

Old Bulbs. As they age they lose brightness.

If the bulbs are old then they are probably faded out. If they are brand new, they will need about a 100 hours to burn in to their full brightness.
