    Default T5 lighting opinions wanted

I am considering buying a 54 gal corner saltwater aquarium. And I was talking to my LFS about different lighting ideas. We were thinking about the "AQUATICLIFE 36" 4x39 T5HO W/ 4 blue LED Lunar lights". I like the looks of this fixture. Cool features. I am just concerned about a lot of light shining out of the tank, instead of directly in the water, because this light sits on elevated legs. Any options or different ideas welcomed. Also who uses this light and what do you think ? thanks Bill

I had 4 T5s over a 55 gallon hex tank and they worked real well. I think with the reflectors, there shouldn't be much "bleeding" of light that is not directed into the tank. It would be hard to build a canopy for a bowfront tank, so the fixture may be your best option. I have no experience with the fixture, but I love the T5 lighting and I also really enjoy the LED moonlights. Sounds and looks like a good choice!

I havea tek 6 bulb 36" fixture over a holding tank right now. With pendents you will always get some light coming out the sides.
