Here's my predicament.....I want to upgrade my lighting set up but don't have the large cash income to go the full blown mh lighting I have 220 watts from a pc and was looking into the orbit 24 hrs system to run in conjunction....that will make roughly 480watts in any ones opinion is this going to work to house some of the nicer corals....or should i drill holes in my ceiling and buy the big lights a little later down the road......

IMO, save up for some time, research for a great deal then pounc on it!!! I just landed a dual 250 PFO retro-kit (month old) with 2 new XM 10k bulbs for $275... Includes shipping. I will be selling my dual 175 cool touch with 2 10k XM bulbs very shortly... probably for $200-$250.

Are you considering prefab'd lighting or capable and willing to DIY the lighting?

Obviously the latter can yeild significant cost savings, and be more tailored to your wants/needs.But like anything else there is always some risks involved depending on experience levels working with high voltage equipemnt. The lighting listed on my signaure was accomplsihed for well under my set budget of $300, and we are very pleased with the results.
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
