    Default aquac Remora not producing

ok i just bought a used aquaC Remora with maxijet 1400 pump , this unit was cleaned and benched for six months befor i got it. that being said would it be considered new? In that when you buy a new unit they need to be broken in and get that slime coat befor they produced that nice skimmate. This unit has produced very little skimmate and i have the collector lowered all the way down and yet nothing this is going on week one 7 days now and wonder when will this unit produce. anyone have one of these skimmers? If so any problems i should know about this model or type skimmer?
    patiently waiting

Yes- that skimmer needs to be broken in.

That skimmer, in my experiance, is very touchy and needs very intensive tweeking to get it right. Water level fluctuations make it even harder to dial in.

On a side note- once you get it dialed in, I have heard its a great skimmer!!!

Mine took a couple of weeks or longer to produce good skim. Be patient for a bit.

I just know I just know, before this is over, I'm gonna need a whole lot of serious therapy! Look at my eye twitching.

I agree with the above posts ^ ..... if the skimmer is still not working after a few weeks try adjusting the spray injector screw, its a small white plastic screw. Make sure you dont over tighten the screw so that it falls into the injector.
