Well I have decided to scrap my close loop and go back to powerheads. The close loop just isn't really getting the job done. I was considering getting 2 SEIO M1100 to move water around in my 75. I would love some opinions and thoughts on powerheads.

So far the Seio's have done a fantastic job for us.... a pair of M1500's were in the 180 (although at least another pair would have been better), and now a pair of the M620's are in my 25g tank. I don't think you can beat the water movement for the price... Although I don't know of anyone that has tried putting them on a wavemaker of any sorts...yet......
Every electronic device is manufactured with smoke stored deep inside... only a true genius can find a way to set it free.
Seio's are sweet for sure... but if you have the money why not shoot the works and go with Tunze's... But yes I have felt the flow from the Seio's and its in riveled by few.

I enjoy my SEIOS 820's,If i can get ever motivated enought to plumb the output from my MAG18/CL pump behind my 75,I might not have to use them no more.
i personally like the tunze if you have the money. IMO in the long run it will be better for you. they only consum 15 watts max and they can very in speed. Plus if you ever go to a bigger tank all you have to do is change the power supply ($60 about) and you can change a 6000 into a 6100. They also disperse the water flow alot more than the SRIO, and very in speed. So you are getting a wave maker and a powerhead with one of their kits. They are ment to use with there wave maker were most powerhead life span will be cut down alot if you use them with a wavemaker. What ever you do don't invest in the vortex pump. They are over priced and have been recalled. IMO it was a goood consept but should have been done by a different company.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.
Thanks for the input everyone. Unfortunity the Tunze are little out of my price range at this point. Maybe when I upgrade to the bigger tank. I think I am going with the SEIO for now.
