    Most don't use them if you do clean the filters often i thank at least ever other day


    Id just get red of the sponge JMO

    Well, I'm not sure how often you would change it, I guess it would depend on your needs, just as long as your water quality is good you shouldn't have to change that frequently, but when my tank is up and running I'll probably change every week or bi-weekly, and you should do a 20-25% water change at a time, at least that's my understanding, if I'm wrong, someone will correct me and give you the 100% correct answer

    #ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#i have a topfin 30 you are supposed to change the filter when the water starts to come out of the place where your tube is going into your filter this should probabley be around a month or so, but dont change it until you have to b/c that filter has really beneficial bacterias on it.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
