    Default Deltec or Remora

Other than twice the price, would there be much of a difference between the Deltec MCE 600 and the AquaC Remora? I know everyone says that the skimmer is the one item that you do not want to skimp on in a reef tank but I am sure that there is a point of diminishing returns as far as cost over effectiveness. I really do not have room for a sump so an HOB skimmer will be the best for the 45 gallon tank that I have. I am willing to spend the money if there is really a difference.

Deltec is extremely high in quality, but the ramora is a good brand... IMO, if you have the $$$ get the Deltec.
There's nowhere else I'ld rather be... unless, of course, you're buying

I agree with Repto if you have extra $$ go for the Deltec but the Remora
will do you a good job to.
one thing if you get the Rmora get the pro model not the regaler

I don't know either which way from experience personally, but I have read that people love the Deltec HOB and most say its the best skimmer they ever used. Plus there are no adjustments needed as compared to the auqac ev or something of that nature.
Failure is for those who accept it.

Thanks folks. Now I just have to convince the wife to spend the extra money.
