    Have you cleaned the teeth on the overflow lately. That usually made our tanks do what you described. After cleaning em it was back to sweet peace and quiet again. Food for thought

    It's probably getting too much air. What I did with mine was tear off a piece from my Tacobell napkin and shoved it down the hole. I played with it until it got quieter, making the hole much smaller. It's been 2yrs now and my light fan is louder on my lights than my sump.
