    Default GFO Reactor pump?

What size pump are most of you running your GFO through? I have my Phosban reactor filled with Carbon and GFO separated by a sponge/filter.
    Thanks

Look for somthing around 100 gph- brand is at your preferance.

You have the ball valve to adjust the flow, right?

Yeah I have a ball valve to adjust flow rate. I had a little submersible 160gph pump on it. But after going through the UV which is about 12'' above the sump then into the reactor, through the carbon then through the gfo I was not getting very much movement (boiling look in the gfo). I hooked up a mj1200 turned down to about half and it give the gfo that boiling look that I was told it should have.

Update: When I 1st added this I used less than half of the recommended dosage. How long should I wait before adding more GFO? Also do I just add it or remove the old and add all fresh. I have read some ppl go 6+ months before changing media or when they start to see algae forming. I am not seeing any just not sure when to start working closer to the recommended dosage.
    Thanks

I would run the initial dose for about a month. Then clean it out, and run a full recomended dose. I would change that out after a month also. After the first to doses, you should be able to go longer than a month in between changes.
