    rick one way to get the air out of the U tube is to insert an air line up the tank side of it drop it in and make sure you have water in both sides of the over flow or it will loose siphon then suck the air out of the tube

    some hob over flows have an air port at the top of the u tube so you can stick an air line from that to a power head to suck the air out of it
    I have been reefing from 08-2007 till 5-2011

    reef tanks are like wifes you have to give them some attention every now and then

    cool thanks Marc..now to convince the lil woman on this idea..i have the overflow..hey she said your not drilling my tank..lol..im not drilling it..
